Parents – Dr. Neina needs your help!
Dr. Neina is working with Sipple Care, a company working to create a smart app to empower parents to overcome feeding challenges for infants. Dr. Neina needs videos and audio of you feeing your child!
If you are a parent of a healthy infant under the age of six months, and agree to let us audio and video record a feeding session, we need your help!
These recordings will be used to develop a new App that will help parents, like yourself, overcome feeding challenges for infants.
You will receive a complementary feeding consultation, which will be recorded.
To receive your complementary feeding consultation and help our research, you will be asked to complete a short questionnaire about your baby. Next, we’re asking you to record your baby’s feeding for 5 to 10 minutes using your smartphone. Two recording files of the feeding are needed to improve the app’s accuracy. You will need two devices (like mobile phones) to capture the files simultaneously:
- Audio Only Recording: Please feed your baby and record in a quiet environment. Place one device about 5 to 20 inches from your baby so that your phone records his/her feeding sounds.
- Video & Audio Recording: The second device should be positioned to capture your baby’s face from a side profile so we see his/her facial expressions, jaw and throat movements.
Your recordings will NOT be shared or publicized.
All your data is secure with us! The data recordings you provide will be depersonalized and stored on a secure server. Any raw data will be deleted immediately after processing. Recording will only be used internally for product development.
